Paying a visit to Japan External Trade Organization Beijing Office
Mr. Su Fan, Director of International Department paid a visit to Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Beijing Office, and had a meeting with Mr. Yoichi Maie, the Deputy Director General of JETRO Beijing, Mr. AKINOBU YOSHIKAWA and Mr. KENJI SHIMIZU, the Director of JETRO Beijing and Director of Economic Information Department.
JETRO aims to promote Japanese foreign trade comprehensively to balance the development of trade and investment and provides services to enterprises home and abroad. Last December, Premier Wen Jiabao signed the Joint Statement on Cooperation in Energy and Environment between China and Japan with Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda. Based on the policy of the statement, JETRO set up a consulting group working on the cooperation between Japan and China in energy-saving and environmental protection. This group provides consultation for Chinese enterprises introducing Japanese environmental protection and energy-saving technologies, and introduces Japanese enterprises, institutes and technologies to China to promote the cooperation.
Mr. Su introduced the function and main work of CAEPI. He said CAEPI was willing to help JETRO to develop the business in environmental protection and energy saving in China, and help Japanese environment enterprises enter Chinese environment market in order to promote the cooperation between Chinese and Japanese enterprises.
